Andrew Brons Responds
Earlier today I made some comments regarding the begging letter that appeared on the BNP website, to my surprise it contained a plea from Andrew Brons.
The letter appeared to be smearing the reformists as ideological malcontents; those people unhappy with the BNP’s decision to allow non-European members into the party.
However, Mr Brons has now made it clear that he wrote that begging letter some time ago and he was referring to the National Front and other tiny political parties when he mentioned “splinter groups,” he said:
“The reference I made to ‘splinter groups’ in the appeal letter for money did not refer to individuals or factions within the BNP but to outside organisations who were seeking to poach our members on the basis of the membership criteria issue.
“In fact, on the issue of the membership criteria, there was very little dissent in the final vote. There were only 5 votes against and 5 abstentions, and my comments were not directed at those people either.
“I have made strenuous efforts to avoid becoming involved in factional disputes and the purpose of my letter was to raise money for the party and not to score points against individuals or factions in the party. The efforts that I have made have been to unify the party and not to aggravate factional differences.”
There you have it.
It appears that the party hierarchy have released Andrew’s letter now, to give the appearance that Andrew Brons supports Nick Griffin……..:-)
Andrew is in the enviable position of not having to bow down to Nick Griffin. He has confirmed that he will not seek re-election to the European parliament, and he could sit as an independent if Griffin dared to withdraw the BNP whip. All this said, it is known that Andrew has been told that his old job of lecturing Law and Politics is open for his return after his political forays have ceased.
Mr Brons isn’t in a bad position at all.

Wonderful blog. I obtained a lot of good data here. I have been following this thing for awhile. It’s intriguing how it keeps shifting, yet some of the core elements stay the same. Have you observed much change since Google made their most recent acquisition in the area?
