Political Correctness and National Characteristics

“Political correctness is a good thing, it motivates legislation that makes the world a more fair and tolerant place, they don’t have it in Saudi Arabia where women can be beaten for showing an ankle on the street, they don’t have it in Russia where black footballers are still pelted with bananas and they don’t have it in Uganda where being gay mean a death sentence. Political correctness has helped Britain become a more tolerant nation than most, an achievement of which we should be proud.”
The author, Joe Wade, seems to be confusing political correctness with discrimination. They’re not synonymous. Neither is Political Correctness a tool against discrimination.
The driver behind Political Correctness (PC) is far more insidious than merely stopping discrimination. Restricting speech is a means to restricting thought.
1.) It stops you voicing concerns about potentially sensitive issues.
2.) It stops you even thinking about voicing concerns, because how do you piece together an opinion in your mind without utilising your silent words and sentences? Your argument against something – usually progressive nonsense – is destroyed in the mind, because it is instantly discarded for use as it violates the PC code. It is a mind-prison, whereby transgressive thought is nullified at its source.
All supporters of Freedom of Speech should oppose political correctness and the wider cultural Marxist tenets that accompany it. As explained above, it’s a battle for freedom of thought. The very battle that the west had fought to win during the enlightenment period, is being re-fought by political ideologues and those they deem as ‘extremists’.
The irony is that many progressives believe that the enlightenment was a good thing, but their political creed is committed to doing exactly what the theist zealots tried to do: pronouncing thoughts manifested as speech as a heresy.
Wade’s article also covers the famed British National characteristics:
“Whilst it’s true that The English Defence League and the BNP still exist in opposition to our national characteristics”
It is entirely true that Nationalists are in opposition to the British National psyche of the ruling classes, a psyche that’s predisposed to ‘Tolerance’, sorry….appeasement.
It’s British to turn the other cheek when whole communities – mostly our most vulnerable socio-economic groups – are destroyed via displacement through mass immigration?
It’s British to bite your tongue as you see whole tribes of bogus Asylum Seekers queueing up in France, awaiting the chance to enter the UK; accessing public services that are already under the cosh and out of the reach of our own.
It’s British to walk away whilst predatory Muslim pimps deliberately target working-class British girls; violating their young bodies in the same way their heroine unhinges the girl’s minds.
It’s British to laugh it off when millionaire politicians of the ruling dynasties pledge billions of pounds to foreign nations – whose malicious intent would see the destruction of everything our people fought and died to retain – when our people wait to die on hospital beds; die in freezing houses; are declined life-saving drugs and medical procedures; work until they drop dead, because their pensions are worthless.
It’s British to pretend that all of the above is counted a cheap price for the maintenance of the façade of ‘British Tolerance’.
If ‘tolerance’ means ignoring the above and accepting the situation that generations are born into now, then tolerance is out of our reach, both morally and financially.
If tolerance and appeasement can be described as a national characteristic, you’ll find that the nations defined as such can be found nowhere on earth, but grace the pages of historical works, for these very characteristics were their downfall as a people.
